1- When did you decide to pursue art as a career?
I think it wasn´t me to decide. I just did what I did, following my ideas. It was more like others decided that I might be an artist. I still don´t know if I fit this description.
2- What are your goals as an artist?
Its about putting my mind, my soul and my love in images. I ´ve never been a poet or at least a writer. Light and film seemed to be the logical
tool to describe what moves me. So, if there is a goal besides this self-focussed access to communicate, maybe its to trigger the audience to have a close look at the creation out there.
Not in a religious way....

3- What's your favourite place to developed your ideas?
Hard to say... Ideas come suddenly. Their metamorphosis take place almost everywhere. A good cup of coffee is always helpful. And crusin around in my car with my soundtracks is a good setting too...

4- Where in the world is your favourite place to see art?
Honestly? It´s nature. Nature as a work of art by itself. To be aware of the everchanging light sculpturing nature is a deep impression for me.
5- What exhibit, that you have seen within the last year, has most influenced you?
Several. In January I saw the "Genesis" exhibit from Salgado in Munich. I taught me how far I still have to go. In March I attended the Calder show in Tate Modern. I always loves his work ( I have an Calder Mobile in my home ) but seeing so many different
works at once made me aware again how complete his access to form and space was.
6- Do you collect anything?
Yes, butterflies and mid - century furniture by Eames, Panton, Jacobsen and others . I like to literally live with great design

7- If you could choose anyone to see your work, who would he or she be?
Not a certain person, people who search for inspiration maybe. People who are in need of a spark to fire their creativity.
8- What is the greatest compliment anyone has ever paid to you regarding
your artwork?
" you made me start photography!" I think this was the best compliment you can get.

9- In which walls would you like to see your work exposed in 10/20 years.
Hard to say... this is something I have not thought about the last 30 years. Spontanous I thought: The Tate Modern or The Guggenheim in Bilbao would be great. But after all, I am a realistic person.
I don´t want to become an Icon. What for? I do my stuff anyways. And if it makes it into museums, fine. If not, still okay ;-)
